While traveling, it’s easy to leave something behind during your travels. Maybe, your reading a book and then your flight is called. You set the book down to gather your stuff and forget to pickup the book as you proceed to board.

I learned this lesson the hard way. I was in an airport lounge, reading to kill time, and left the book I was reading as I headed out to the gate.

Now, whenever I get up to relocate, I always say to myself, “Look back”. As I step two or three steps from where I was, I turn and look back ensuring that I didn’t leave something important.
